The Laboratory
The Pieter Andries Diamond and Gem Laboratory in Southlake – where every diamond is graded, identified and documented by Pieter Andries certified gemologists.
Inside the Laboratory
The laboratory is accredited by the American Gem Society – one of roughly 500 in North America. Every diamond is graded and documented here by the Pieter Andries team of certified gemologists with scientific precision.
Pieter Andries Principles
Protection
Accurate grading and precise documentation are two key elements of what sets our standards above the rest. Every detail provided about a diamond in our building rests on evidence the laboratory has tested.
Knowledge
Complete with a binocular microscope, a graded set of five master diamonds, a full suite of gemological instruments and a working reference library, our laboratory ensures each diamond meets our high standards. Grading is conducted by a Pieter Andries Gemologist Appraiser.
Verification
Pieter Andries Diamonds are recorded in the Pieter Andries Diamond Graded Certificate. Diamonds half a carat and above are laser-inscribed with a unique Pieter Andries designation matching that record, creating a permanent link between the diamond, its grade and the house’s documentation. The certificate travels with the piece, while a record stays with the house and the proof stays on the diamond.
Accurate Grading
As a member of the American Gem Society, Pieter Andries is committed to protecting clients through accuracy and transparency. The membership is a standard the house lives by, upheld in every grading the laboratory issues.
