A necklace sits at the center of the frame, closest to the face and the first thing the eye returns to. Pieter Andries builds two forms: the pendant — a single commanding gemstone suspended from a fine chain or a strand of pearls — and the rivière, gemstones joined one to the next with no chain at all. Every necklace is articulated to move with its wearer and return light from every facet. Each one is made to match the person who wears it, never to overshadow her.
