Cut
While color, clarity and carat are determined by nature, cut is the human variable. At Pieter Andries, our first-class cuts are carefully selected to create a luminous sparkle and shine reflected for ultimate beauty and light performance. Two diamonds can carry the same certificate and look nothing alike on the finger. The Pieter Andries standard begins with the cut.
Color
Because we choose the rarest and most unique diamonds, we favor the upper, colorless grade diamonds for many of our signature settings. But since each diamond is as unique as the person who will wear it, we also work across a wider colorless range when the design and diamond call for it.
Clarity
As part of the Pieter Andries standard, we look for clarity that allows light to pass without interference. Many of our signature pieces are set in VS and above. A well-placed SI diamond, where the inclusion sits out of view, earns its place in the signature pieces too.
Carat
Carat: The first number most people learn, but certainly not the first variable that matters. Carat measures a diamond’s weight. Once we’ve determined everything else to make your perfect piece of jewelry, carat becomes the final factor.
